Tuesday 14th June – bike **** – Two rivers, Orwell to the Deben including lunch at Landguard – sunny and warm.

A pretty much perfect summers day, wall to wall sunshine with a light onshore breeze, not enough for windsurfing so it was time to get the bikes out again:) Usual morning at home, exercises and gardening with it being very hot in our little garden, then around one with picnic packed we set off with it being very pleasant cycling in a nice cooling breeze. Down through Langer Park while I head to the view point Mag goes directly to the pier at Landguard. Not a great deal of river action, the yellow foot ferry had just left the beach was as exciting as it got. We had the usual relaxing time watching the world go by, the tide was whizzing out with a few yachts about and the roll on roll off ferry comes in. Well rested to set off again with the sky the deepest blue, certainly my favourite colour, through the nature reserve and onto the prom with several families enjoying a day on the beach. Luckily the prom was fairly quiet as Mag turned for home up Bent Hill while I continued on, snapping a few pics on the way! Around to The Dip where Nick Swain is setting up his winging gear but it did look pretty light. A noisy, smelly jet bike was whizzing up and down on the River Deben as I headed to the boat yard. A few more pics before taking the short route home over the golf course. I was out nearly two and a half hours covering 12 miles and found Mag actually relaxing in the garden! I quickly sorted a few pics out to send to the local weather and was lucky enough to get one on Chris Page report on About Anglia:)
